Love is in the air, and in this season’s Cheese Club shipment, we’re thrilled to bring you something truly special: Burning Love! This heart-shaped creation is a seasonal twist on our award-winning Ragged Point triple crème, reimagined to capture the warmth, sweetness, and spice of true love.
What Makes Burning Love Special?
Burning Love starts with a creamy, buttery triple crème base, then transforms with a flavorful twist. We’ve partnered with Oaktown Spice Shop to incorporate their signature Umami Sea Salt Blend to enhance the earthy richness of our triple crème. To complement that savory depth, we’ve added a delicate coating of dried chilis and peppers – Pasilla Negro Chile, Sweet Calabrian Chili, and Hungarian Sweet Paprika. The result? A perfect balance of warmth, sweetness, and complexity that’s as irresistible as it is unique.
At nearly three times the size of our year-round Ragged Point, Burning Love is molded into a charming heart shape, making it an ideal gift or centerpiece for your romantic celebrations. Whether you’re planning a cozy night in or a festive gathering with friends, this cheese brings a touch of elegance and a whole lot of flavor.
A Lovely Tradition
We made the very first rendition of Burning Love back in 2019, and it was love at first taste. Over the years, we’ve experimented with different spice blends to create flavors that feel as special as the moments they’re shared in. Each new version has been a labor of love, and our most inspired creations are reserved exclusively for our Cheese Club members.
By popular demand, Burning Love has become a cherished tradition—a seasonal delight that our members look forward to year after year. This year’s iteration takes the flavors to new heights with the addition of Oaktown Spice Shop’s Umami Sea Salt Blend and a carefully balanced mix of chiles and paprika.
How to Enjoy Burning Love
Burning Love pairs beautifully with a chilled glass of rosé, a crisp pilsner, or even a dry sparkling wine. Serve it alongside fresh fruit and Lady & Larder crackers for a simple treat. For something more indulgent, top it with a square of Maya Mountain Chocolate from Dandelion Chocolate for a truly decadent bite. If you’re in the mood to share, try using it in recipes like baked brie—its creamy texture and subtle spice make it a showstopper in both sweet and savory dishes.
We generally recommend letting our triple crèmes sit out at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving in order to fully bring out the robust flavor and creamy texture of the cheese.
Like all of our triple crème cheeses, Burning Love features a bloomy rind. This natural process happens as the cheese ages, with the rind "blooming" into a soft, fluffy layer that protects the rich, delicate interior. (Learn more about it here!) In your fridge, Burning love will continue to develop even on top of the spices—proof of a healthy, active culture! The rind is completely edible, but if it's not your thing, feel free to enjoy just the creamy insides.
