Butter makes everything better, right? We couldn't agree more.
We definitely recommend trying our new cow's milk European-style cultured butter on its own, but this recipe for paprika compound butter is pretty fantastic.
What is compound butter?
Essentially, compound butter is softened butter creamed together with fresh or dried herbs and spices. Compound butter is great when used to add flavor to sauces or on top of meat or vegetables. It can also be spread on top of baked goods.

- 6oz Salted Cultured Butter, Room Temperature
- 2 ½ tsp Smoked Paprika
- 2 ½ tsp Dried Chives
- 1 ½ tsp Dried Parsley
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1-2 dashes Vinegar Based Hot Sauce
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until well combined.
- Roll in a half dollar diameter log and plastic wrap or parchment paper tightly. Refrigerate until needed.
