Stepladder Guide to a Weekend in Cambria, California

Stepladder's Guide to a Weekend in Cambria

Feb 27, 2025JACK & MICHELLE RUDOLPH

Spring is just around the corner, and that means one thing—baby goat season! Over the years, so many of you have made visiting the farm a yearly tradition, turning a trip to see the babies into a full weekend adventure with family and friends. To make planning even easier, we’ve put together this Weekend in Cambria Guide, packed with all the places we personally love—plus some insider tips and our favorite orders. (You might notice we have a thing for plant shops and outdoor adventures!)

Meet the Babies! 🐐

The baby goats start arriving at the end of February, with peak cuteness happening from mid-March through April. It’s the absolute best time to visit, and trust us—there’s nothing quite like snuggling a baby goat to welcome spring!

Book a farm tour to meet the baby goats, explore the farm, and get an inside look at our creamery.

Where to Eat 🍽️

No trip to Cambria is complete without indulging in some incredible local food! From cozy cafés to farm-to-table favorites, we’ve rounded up our must-visit spots (along with our go-to orders!) for a delicious weekend. These are the places we keep coming back to, and we can’t wait for you to try them too!

  • The Hidden Kitchen – A charming, tucked-away spot known for its organic, blue corn waffles and fresh smoothies. Michelle: Weirdos Waffle, Jack: Plain with butter & syrup

Relax & Unwind 😌

  • Massage at Vyaana – Whether it’s a quick massage chair session or a full-body intuitive massage, this is our go-to spot to reset. Don’t miss the full-spectrum infrared sauna for extra relaxation!

Explore & Enjoy 🌿

  • Cambria Farmers Market – Visit our booth for cheese samples and stock up on your favorites!
  • Fiscalini Ranch Preserve – A stunning coastal trail perfect for walking, running, or biking. You’ll often spot us (and Frank!) here on a trail run.
