The Quick Cheese Board!

The Quick Cheese Board!

Between working, running the farm, and trying to have a life, we’re always hosting—and we wouldn’t have it any other way! Over time, we’ve learned some quick tricks for creating the cutest and tastiest cheese boards.

We usually have these essentials on hand (yes, we know we own the cheese company, but we hope you have some of these too!):

Instructions:

  1. Start with a cute cheese board—we’ve been loving the round ones from our friends at Heath Ceramics. Place a bloomy rind (Ragged Point or Big Sur) in the center of the board.

  2. Trim the edges off the Paso Vino and slice it into triangles, showing off its beautiful wine rind. Arrange 3-4 wedges in small piles around the bloomy rind, with the points facing inward. Cut the Cabrillo into cubes and place them in sections between the other cheeses.

  3. Slice the apples thinly and arrange them around the cheeses. Slice the salami and place it in a single pile between the cheeses.

  4. Here’s the key: take rosemary sprigs and place them between the cheeses, radiating out from the center like sun rays—this adds a nice visual touch.

  5. Add the jam directly to the plate if the jar is small enough, or place a generous spoonful between the cheeses. Scatter the candied nuts in small groups around the board. We love drenching the bloomy rind in honey right in the middle!

  6. Finally, stick a cute cheese knife in the center cheese and decorate with flowers or other garnishes. The goal is to create a cheese board that’s full of color, texture, and variety!

  7. Take pictures and tag us!!!
