Apples and Fromage Blanc or Chèvre!

Apples and Fromage Blanc or Chèvre!

Recently, I hosted a book club and created a delightful cheese and apple board that was both easy to prepare and enjoyed by all!

Ingredients:

  • 1–3 apples (variety of colors recommended)
  • 1 lemon or lime (for an extra burst of flavor!)
  • 1 cup cold water
  • A pinch of salt (Himalayan sea salt if available)
  • 1 Stepladder Creamery Fromage Blanc or Chèvre

Instructions:

  1. Start by slicing the apples into small wedges. Depending on the size of the apple, you might cut them into eighths or sixteenths. Using a mix of different-colored apples will make the plate look extra pretty!

  2. In a small bowl, squeeze the juice of one lemon or lime and mix it with about one cup of cold water and a pinch of salt. Soak the apple wedges in this mixture for about 30 seconds, then set them on a towel to dry. This step helps keep the apples from turning brown.

  3. Take your Stepladder Creamery Fromage Blanc or Chèvre and place it in a small bowl. Position the cheese-filled bowl in the center of a flat serving plate OR a cake stand to add extra elevation and fun!

  4. Arrange the apple slices around the bowl. Encourage guests to take apple slices and dip them into the Fromage Blanc or Chèvre.

For an added touch, feel free to garnish the platter with flowers or greens!

XO, Michelle
